About Us

Meals on Wheels is a nonprofit service agency which provides nutritious meals and other services to help older and disabled individuals maintain a dignified life.  We believe it is critical to offer friendship, comfort and hope to those we serve.

Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia, Inc., has proudly served the senior population in Bibb County since 1974.  We work closely with the Area Agency on Aging to deliver services to the homebound elderly and disabled in Bibb, Crawford, Jones, and Monroe counties.  Our volunteers and staff are delivering more than good food; we are providing friendship, comfort, and hope.  We believe that our elders and disabled neighbors retain a sense of independence and dignity when they are able to live in their own homes.

The costs and efforts needed to protect seniors from COVID-19 require additional emergency funds, and that is why we are asking federal lawmakers, corporations, foundations and the general public to remember these vulnerable seniors in our national response. Give to the Meals on Wheels COVID-19 Response Fund to ensure local communities have what they need to continue to deliver a vital lifeline to our most at-risk Americans.

COVID-19 imposed a sudden and imminent risk to older Americans—and the response from all across this country was unprecedented. Ordinary people stood up, spoke up and gave generously so that Meals on Wheels could provide a lifeline for millions of isolated, frightened seniors whose futures still remain terribly uncertain. We need to keep the momentum of generosity going. Thanks to your help, we’ve already granted more than $28 million to local programs through the Meals on Wheels COVID-19 Response Fund, and we won’t stop now.
